Hello 3rd Trimester!

I am finally here!

Today I am 28 weeks and 5 days. I estimate they will induce me at latest 73 days from today! We are officially counting down to meet Baby T. She has mommy in so much pain every day. I have now learned parts of this are estrogen to blame. Like my constant headaches, bloating, gas, and swelling. I feel like I am going to throw up whenever I eat.

I believe Baby T suffers some coughing fits, because often I feel a shaking come from my tummy. It is a little painful to me and has me confounded at what I could be feeling. It almost feels like a vibration, I called my OB about this a month or two ago and they said she is just doing baby things and likes what I am eating. But then I saw babies are frequently practicing coughing, so I think that could cause what I am feeling. Baby T is an active little babe.

My back hurts almost constantly because of the weight of Baby T and everything needed for her comfortable stay. At my last appointment, I had not gained weight since last month. But I had two appointments Wednesday and after eating I am up about 10 pounds from my pre-pregnancy weight.

Sensitive Skin - This is actually something I suffered from much more at the beginning of pregnancy than I do now. I would break out in a red rash whenever I applied a Band-Aid, but these days I notice nothing different. I have been applying the Unicorn Whipped Belly Butter at least daily since I received it, and I think that helps my belly from having any issues. Earlier this week I was so itchy everywhere and my husband told me I even have stretch marks up and down my back now. I assume the itchiness of my skin is caused by the stretching of skin due to Baby T growing and weight gain during pregnancy. I now have stretch marks almost 2 inches wide that feel like holes in my belly. I will proudly sport my stretch marks as they show what my body accomplished.

Faintness & Dizziness - I am not having any issues with faintness and dizziness right now. I am exhausted all the time, but no longer dizzy or faint. I am not counting on my balance in my exercise, constantly keeping a chair nearby that I can use for support when bending forward or trying to balance. Now that I am in the third trimester, my yoga is all to prepare for giving birth.

Stuffy Nose - Overnight: I get stuffy noses, but I sleep with my bedroom windows open.

Skin Color Changes - I am not having skin color changes, because I am such a pale woman, I have little pigment in my skin at all. I have been allergic to the sun for years so I always apply sunscreen and I limit my time in the sun. I have tiny red dots all over my tummy, but the nurse at my OB's office said that this was nothing to worry about.

RhoGAM - I am O negative blood type and my husband is A positive, so I had to receive the RhoGAM shot, after Baby T is born they will test her to see if she has a negative or positive blood type and I will get a second dose then if she is positive. My mom only birthed O negative blood type girls, but my sisters don't believe any of their babies are O negative.

Iron - I need to up my iron, I had tested well about a month ago but with my growing discomfort my appetite is quickly fading. I get very uncomfortable whenever I eat any meat, though.

Birthing Classes - I have actually decided against a birthing class but I signed my husband and myself up for, Tips from a Pediatrician on when to call the pediatrician and how to react during stressful times that our newborn looks ill. I also signed us up for Infant CPR and other emergencies. Lastly, I signed us up for car seat safety. I think these classes will offer more benefit to us. I have read a lot about labor and delivery as well as watched my sisters give birth. I am fairly confident I know what to expect, minus the contractions, that I freak out about daily because no one can explain to me what contractions actually feel like. So I constantly fear that every kick from Baby T that hits so low, they all hit so low, is a sign that I am going into preterm labor. She is just so strong! But at my appointment Wednesday the Nurse had said that I have no signs of preterm labor, no leaking and no dilating. So I am trying to calm down about that. I still feel like I get waves of pain in just my low uterus.

Hospital Tour - Our hospital is not currently holding hospital tours, but thanks to online videos I know exactly where we are to drop me off, park and enter our hospital.

I dream nightly that she is kicked, hit or vibrated in my stomach and I am constantly defending my belly in my dreams. I am positive that this is not actually that something external is hitting my belly, rather that Baby T has kicked hard enough that I am feeling it in my dream.

I feel like crap all the time.

73 days at the most.

Then my sweet baby girl will be in my arms.

It will be a long road of pain, getting pregnant signs you up for pain. But Baby T is so worth it. Becoming a mother is so wonderful! She is already the most perfect thing I have ever seen, I can't wait to have her in my arms. 73 days is nothing at this point. I can do anything for 73 days. Whatever it takes.

And honestly, I am not a well person, every day is painful, this is just different pain. Constant back pain, constant headache, constant hip pain, frequent nausea, constant bloating and gas, and frequent baby kicks that take my breath away.

I don't think there is a lot of room in there for Baby T. It is rare I feel her actually stretch out and hit even near my belly button anymore. I have always carried my weight in my belly and the extra weight I carry plus everything else in my short torso doesn't allow for any room.

My husband is trying to take better care of me now that we are nearing the end of pregnancy and I have a few more restrictions. My issue is I refuse to give up yoga and walks until my OB tells me otherwise. I know it is causing some of my pain, but Baby T is so perfect and there are so many benefits to exercise. I also am a rigid person and feel that if I change up my routine as perfect as Baby T has been could be changed too.

Sunday we received the Mama Koala cloth diapers that I ordered off Amazon during a great spring sale last week. I got them for 40% off. Which makes them such a great deal!

I love them! They are really high quality! I had them on our registry at the beginning.

I had removed them per my husband because he wanted to do only inlays and Mama Koala is pocket diapers. We can use different inlays than the ones that come with the covers and use them as inlays with the prefolds we have.

Mama Koala are microfiber, so they have to be a pocket diaper. But the thickness of the diaper impresses me. Also, they are cute. I watched videos of moms who have used the same diaper for years without them losing any structure, and that impressed me. I will purchase more if we find we need them and get another nice deal.

Our diapers came with a 10% off coupon I believe does not expire so I am waiting to purchase more until we see if Baby T also prefers these diapers to the alternatives. The size range of the Mama Koala diapers is 8 pounds to 35 pounds.

I have a lot of prefolds that I want to use in place of the pockets, and this will work with the Mama Koalas.

They will also work with the diapers my mom ordered off wish that I love as well. They are exactly like the Mama Koala, only that the inserts they come with are thin, ideal for the early months when we will change Baby T every 2 hours at least. But I am not sure if the inserts will work when Baby T gets bigger.

I plan to pack one of those for the first diaper we will put on Baby T.
