Last week, I made sardine melts and broccoli cheese soup for dinner. The sardine melts are tuna melts with sardines instead of tuna. I switched out the tuna for sardines because sardines do not have high mercury like tuna does, so it is a safer alternative. The broccoli cheese soup was just pureed broccoli soup that I added cheese to, to save my flop.
We have made homemade pizza dough a few times in the last two weeks.
I have a few other meals planned to make in the next couple days. I also have a lot of frozen meals that would be easy to take out of the freezer and pop in the oven, I love having those on hand in case something comes up or if I just don't feel up to cooking that day.
I also have been doing indoor workout videos because it is raining and cold here.
I am still doing yoga. I typically do about a 15 minute yoga routine, it is a nice slow pace and relaxing. I am just trying to keep my stress level low.
I watched Unsolved Mysteries, which I don't think of as Halloween, but I guess Netflix and Unsolved Mysteries do. Since it was released as part of the Halloween lineup. I have been wrapping myself up in thinking about what may have happened to these missing or murdered people. The most enticing Unsolved Mysteries episode was the episode titled "The Lady in the Lake" if you haven't watched it yet, I strongly suggest it. That was the case that I have spent the most amount of time looking into since watching the episode. I love the way they tell the mysterious stories on Unsolved Mysteries, it leads you to think a lot more about an event than you may otherwise. There is just so much intrigue wrapped up in the show.
I am still reading Dreamcatcher.
I want to read it a little faster now, so hopefully I won't be reading this book for the next year and a half. I am kind of bored with it. I am not enjoying it, and I can't get wrapped up enough in it to be fully immersed. I re-read the same page over and over because I easily zone out of reading. I think it's because they have little interaction with others anymore. I am kind of taking a break from reading it. Maybe at a later date I can get more interested in the storyline.
My kitty Rusty has found that he loves Carrot Cake.
My kitty Kevin has been so cuddly and sweet.
My husband was off work this week, so we went to visit my parents and sister, brother-in-law, nieces and nephews. We just got to spend time with my family, we didn't do to much. That is why you haven't heard from me in so long.
Last Saturday was my best friend's baby's 1st birthday, I attended his birthday party alone because my husband had to work and do some cooking. But I needed to see them. Baby Hunter is getting so big, I haven't gotten to see him since July.
Another friend just rescued a kitty that she found outside her home. She took her to the vet and got her fixed, treated her infected paw and treated her for fleas. I guess that she now has a kitty, even though she is allergic. But she has been telling me since lockdown that she wanted a kitty. I think she gets lonely and having something to take care of is such a wonderful way to feel fulfilled.
I want to save all the feral kitties near our house, but they won't come near me and my husband doesn't appreciate when I chase after the cats outside. But we have so many precious visitors, I think we have 4 different cats we see frequently. All of them are interested in our house and our two kitties, but not interested in me, when I run outside to call them they usually just hide.
I have also been begging my husband to get a dog, but we have two cats so I am over wanting a dog.
I am a podcast completist, meaning I have to listen to every episode ever created by any podcast. So it really doesn't matter when I subscribe to a podcast, I go all the way back to the beginning and I start there and listen to every episode up to the most current episode.
So I am still catching up on True Crime All the Time. They have weekly episodes that come out on Sunday's.
My favorite podcast is True Crime Garage, they come out with two shows per week, Tuesday's and Wednesday's. I am in love with Nic and The Captain; they are funny, witty, and intelligent.
I have just started listening to Unjust & Unsolved. Maggie Freleng hosts this podcast, and I love that she has given a platform to the wrongfully convicted. I think she has taken on a noble cause.
I am always up for finding new podcasts, most true crime. So if you have any favorites, I would love to hear your suggestions.
