Meals on meals on meals....

Friday I finished painting my husbands's bathroom. It looks pretty good and we will probably go over it with a purple at a later date. For now the white is perfect and if we do end up selling the house someday a white bathroom might be more versatile than a purple. The bathroom looks so much more spacious with the white than with the dark grey that was in there.

Thursday for lunch I made Chicken Caesar Salad Wraps, which were so delicious we had them for dinner too and lunch Friday again. Also because I am facing decision fatigue. Picking what to make for breakfast, lunch and dinner every day is exhausting. I have been making some amazing meals but my husband prefers that I just surprise him with whatever I would like rather than giving suggestions himself.

Chicken Caesar Salad Wraps usually have romaine lettuce, chicken breast, slivered onions, Caesar dressing, chicken rice and Caesar croutons on a tortilla.

But this time I improvised with foods from our garden so I cooked the chicken, made chicken rice and the homemade Caesar salad dressing. Then we added arugula and slivered radishes from our garden. This added a tangier, peppery flavor that I found to be quite pleasant.

Thursday night we had grilled salmon and zucchini foil packs.

Friday night I made shrimp, zucchini, tomato, onion and mushroom foil packs.

Saturday was spent with one of my best friends and her family.

We had a wine night with another friend after my best friend's three boys went to bed. We talked about everything! Childbirth, marriage, dating, high school memories and miscarriage hormones. It was so lovely to get to spend time with friends. I felt the most adult I have ever felt, I haven't had a girls night since getting married.

But my terrible midwestern habit of saying "goodbye" for 3 hours happened and upset my husband. I had told my husband 3 separate times that I was going to leave and that caused worry that something happened on my way home when I didn't show up. I have promised in the future to resolve this by setting an alarm on my phone at the time that I will have to leave by.

Sunday I did some extra cleaning around the house. I was exhausted but my husband had to work all weekend so I felt that I should take advantage of getting more done around the house having been out Saturday.

My breasts have been sore for over a week now, I have had a headache for even longer. I took a pregnancy test on Friday morning. I wanted to make sure before buying wine and planning to drink. With the test being negative, I am just waiting for a period or to see if I possibly tested still too early. I will so gladly welcome a period so I can track my cycles.

I did go to the Dollar Store and bought 10 pregnancy tests, they aren't early detection so it may take longer to get a positive but without a period I just keep testing to try to figure out what is going on with my body. I have constant clear egg white consistency cervical fluid which is not typical for me,

Sunday we had steak, shrimp, mushrooms and onions on the grill with a mixed veggie medley I made on the stove. Another delicious and healthy meal

We need to stop having malts a couple times a week. They are so tasty though and it is so hot out so we have just been making them at home. Last night we made a crunchy peanut butter chocolate and oreo malt, It was so good but I need to be more mindful. Maybe that will be the only time we have one this week.

Today I will go for a run again. That will probably help. Yesterday it stormed and rained pretty much all day so I did an ab workout inside.

I have been obsessed with all things British lately. First I watched Skins, then I found that all of my favorite bloggers are British and that makes me even more obsessed with them. Now I am reading "The Power" that was written by Naomi Alderman. I didn't know that it was written by a British writer until I was a few pages in and a paragraph was talking about Blokes so I turned to the back cover and sure enough a Londoner wrote this. So now I am thinking of doing a bigger deeper dive into all things British. I am likely quite Britsh as my maiden name is Edgerton, and my maternal grandfather was Irish too. I would like to know more about their culture and hope to get to travel to the UK someday.

Does anyone have any advice for where to start to dive deeper into British culture? I just hadn't thought much about the differences between to UK and the US much before watching Skins.
